Stop it people, stop it, post something else on your profile comments, just...anything else, like ask for art requests, how your fans are doing, food, the weather, something.

but no it seems that profile comments are not for anything else than thanking people for their favorites or favoriting.

I don't think it's the people that actually favorite the art, it's more that if someone favorites then it's just..."law" to say thank you and "law" to reply you're welcome.

You don't have to say thank you, I think when someone favorites you it should be automatic that you're greatful, I just don't like that it's mindless:

I mean really most people I know's profile pages are endless of:

Break free of the mindlessness people!

And what I really don't understand is when people actually comment on the PAGE of the artwork they get no thank you...

Maybe you don't know that favoriting is as easy as just twitching your finger, making a comment ON the actual piece of artwork should be what gets the "thank you" I mean I could go through deviantart, favorite 100 things and not really really like them, but commenting on the piece...well that means you have to twitch all your fingers! Oh no we can't do that!

If you want to favorite something, favorite it, then make a comment talking about how you like it and what specificly you like about it, don't favoirte something and then never look back, or sit and wait for the thank you...
